Second, @mitchconn, these are from the OFFICIAL LOGOS. If you want to discuss what is and isn't an official logo, at least use sources like nfl.com, nba.com, or the teams official pages. If you notice the logo in the upper left hand corner of www.nba.com/celtics/ you will see that there most certainly is a lettering ring around the leprechaun. www.chicagobears.com/ has their logo in the upper left corner too, and it is only the "C". Same with the Red Sox. While all teams have official lettering that appears on jerseys, equipment, and for other promotional purposes, they are not part of the official logo. |
