| Hmm...per Wikipedia, the Louvre has 60,000 square feet of display space (and thus, presumably, considerably more floor space total), while the Palace of Versailles has only 50,000. And the Louvre was absolutely a palace - the main royal palace in Paris, in fact, although in later years monarchs tended to reside in the now burned-down Tuileries Palace that was attached to it. So I think Drolex is probably right - the Louvre is probably bigger than the Palace of Versailles, and so should be the answer to that question. |
