With the new format style (where you can't skip) for the quizzes, I think this is a perfect combo with a pic.

Just a random question. How come UK isnt counted for Gibraltar?
psubball1

@Fuzzyhippos: Because Gibraltar is a territory of the UK, not apart of the sovereign state of the UK. A good comparison of this would be Guam and the USA. Guam is not one of the 50 states, it is a territory.

Good game. Could shorten the time, but otherwise AOK.

BTW a while back someone did a similar game but there were lots of mistakes on it. Great to have a correct one!

I've got to learn to follow the picture, I wasted a ton of time not realizing it dipped into the Black Sea. Great quiz!

Wouldn't Singapore be a required stop around the Malay Peninsula?

Travis: Singapore is an island, so that's why it doesn't appear in this quiz.

You should probably specify a direction... I lost a few seconds wondering why "North Korea" wasn't working after Russia. Great idea nonetheless; I made it to the Balkans before giving up.

I agree with Gjarble. Just adding a direction would make this quiz fantastic.

re: Gjarble: If you got to Russia, you already knew the direction, since you had to go through Sweden and Finland to get there.

I was a little confused by the direction and by Russia being on there a 2nd time, but I got the hang of it. GREAT quiz, just wish I remembered what comes after BiH

You know, sorry to weigh in again on the direction issue, but there is a giant pink arrow showing you which way to go. A little clarity there in the instructions would be good, though, because I did keep wondering what kind of political statement a pink triangle on Arabia was.

The time is perfect, and I type slow. Skipping would be ridiculous to allow. Trial and error folks. Or learn more about the countries then what you learn on sporcle.

Want to really stump people? Oman has two exclaves in UAE. So it should go Oman, UAE, Oman, UAE, Oman, UAE... heh http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oman

Isn't the arrow a little misleading since it doesn't go through the Black Sea?
psubball1
:
Mar 11th, 2010 at 11:26 GMT

@phildm: Yes, it is true that Oman has two exclaves, but only one of those touches the coast. The other one is completely surrounded by the UAE (so it could be called an enclave). @Oddish: That is the downside to not allowing anyone to skip with the way Sporcle has it set up. You can only see the answer you could not guess right to advance in the end.

Interestingly enough, there is an enclave of the UAE inside the enclave of Oman that is inside the UAE.
