	Armstrong is nowhere near surpassing merckx. Armstrong only won the tour de france whereas merckx won EVERYTHING as well as winning the tour de france 5 times but not only in general classification but also the points and king of the mountains. It's like saying a tennis player who wins wimbledon 9 years in a row is better than a tennis player who has won every grand slam including wimbledon 5 times.

	Interesting choice for American football. I'm sure most football fans would agree that Rice was the greatest receiver of all time, but there are quite a few running backs and quarterbacks that I, personally, would put ahead of Rice. Jim Brown gets my vote; I'm sure Unitas would get considerable support. Great quiz though. Now, time to brush up my cricket heroes.

	Jack Nicklaus is still "generally" considered greater than Tiger Woods, and Willie Mays greater than Babe Ruth. It's only casual baseball fans who consider Ruth the greatest, only because he's the most famous name in the sport's history. Among those who actually know the sport, Mays is the greatest.

	Can't really have one person for track and field unless you go for a decathlete (daily thompson). Could also mix it up to include sports women and in the case of horse racing, the horse. Maybe have bonus answers for honourable mentions such as Lance Armstrong, Walter Payton, Pete Sampras, Shane Warne etc

	Jahangir Khan (squash) and Alexander Karelin (Greco-Roman wrestling) should definitely be in here.

	I agree about Karelin. Just from sports that I know, I would also suggest Jesse Owens (accomplished more than Carl Lewis without being a drug cheat) and Juan Manuel Fangio (didn't have Schumacher's high-tech car). Lin Dan is unquestionably already the greatest badminton player ever, and he's still in his prime. And if darts is included, I say go ahead and include chess (Kasparov or Fischer, take your pick) and snooker (Stephen Hendry). Heck, hot dog eater Takeru Kobayashi deserves his props too.

	According to which source Rossi is greater than Agostini? Ago has more top class championships, more overall championships, more single GPs victories and he's been successfull with every bike he rode, never having down years like Rossi's at Ducati. It shouldn't even be a matter of discussion that Agostini is best motorbiker that ever raced.
