Please accept "USSR" for Soviet Union. I also wonder why no Ottoman Empire.

USSR is now accepted. For the Ottoman E: The Spanish, French, Russian, German and English wikipedia differ slightly in who's considered great power and who's not. But none of the above lists the Ottoman Empire as great power... That's probably bc it's economic influence has never really reached out of the Empire itself (same with India untill recently)

If Austria was an Empire in the early 19th Century, then so were the Ottomans. Also, having both the EU and Germany, France, UK, and Russia is confusing.

Agree with the above. Also, why not make an extra column for 2030 with USA, China, Europe, India, Japan, Russia and Brazil.

Hey guys, please be fair and stop giving the quiz low ratings for leaving the Ottomans out... I didn't decide that! ;-)

@sjoerd: nobody can tell how the world's gonna look like in 2030. Predictions have failed many times before!

@joshtothemaxx: Well, of course it was an Empire, no doubt about that. Concerining the EU: Well Russia is not part of the EU. And the EU has become a power of it's own, more than just UK+France+Germany, I think it's very legitimate to include it extra. (it's also represented separately at G8 summits for example)
