Its sort of hard to tell whats going on in the 'sizzle' image...but otherwise great quiz, interesting idea and nice job on the multiple accepted answers.

This quiz is very liberal with alternative answers...and very tight with the time.

@chriskotx and qbsamoa: i added an extra minute because, yes, i realized as you guys said, that it is a bit tight on time. also, the only reason there would be an alternative answer is if that word, too, could be considered to sound like the noise. was there one in particular you didnt agree with, chriskotx? i had ring and ding for the clang picture, but i added a few more alternate answers

Howl doesn't seem to be terribly onomatopoetic to me, but hey, the dictionary claims it's "possibly of imitative origin" so that's good enough for me. Nice quiz

Wait, 13 is a duck? I had no idea; my only guess was "Squawk". Still, cool quiz.

All I kept thinking about for the chalkboard was "EEK!" because that's about the reaction of whoever is there to hear the noise. Also, @Marshall: The reason why it isn't "Splash" is because they are a couple of Aqua Seltzer's disintegrating in water.

@chrsikotx: If it's liberal with answers that means you should have plenty of time.

I'd say those keys would clink or jingle. I think jangle sounds like what heavier keys would do.

@LTH: it was kind of just a style choice, I guess, to force the answers. also, the woof and the howl pictures are somewhat similar, so it forces the quiz taker to differentiate a bit between some pictures

also, RJMurphy, thanks for your input haha. i completely agree with your interpretation of nascar racing sounds. for a lot, if not all, of these sounds though, there are different interpretations, but it would be impossible for me to put in every spelling/interpretation for each one, so i appologize for that. i went with the mostly traditionally used words for each sound

"Screech," to me, is more of a shouting sound. I'd recommend adding some alternatives for that one, or perhaps changing the picture.

I looked at 12 and thought "plop, plop, fizz, fizz." It took a long time to figure out 15 was bacon.

If you see the dark part of the key chain in the hand as an eye, then you might see a monsterish looking snake head for the 2nd picture. I was wondering why it would have keys in its mouth.

Did you know that animals make different noises in different countries? For example in USA roosters go Cock a Doodle Do but in Germany they go Kiki-Riki. If an animal moves I wonder how quickly it picks up the local sounds.

i reformatted the pictures to be the same size to make the quiz look nicer. @likeaflower: to me, my pic for sizzle still seems the best because of the bubbling oil while the bacon is frying. for the pictures of the steak and shrimp, there isn't really any sizzling oil/bubbles/steam or anything to scream sizzle at you. thats just my opinion, but i think im going to leave it for now. @lukebradford: i had "shh" as an accepted answer but i guess "sh" would be more fair so ill change that.

On my monitor the right side of the picture gets cut off - for some reason this only happens with user-created quizzes. Once Sporcle publishes, then the problem gets solved. I say this by way of explaining that I wanted to use gurgle for number 10 since I couldn't see how much water was coming out of the tap!
