	No London? I just searched most popolous cities on google and the first 5 lists i looked at all had london in the top 20.

	If you click on the reference link, you will see that the source they used does not include London. Re "Mr." Kolkata and Karachi are there.

	Re: "Chris" New Delhi is the capital of India, a relatively small city located close to Delhi. Delhi is one of the largest cities in the world. They are two separate municipalities.

	There are numerous sources for city populations which have quite different figures. I've seen many differing lists for city populations.

	Without suburbs, London only stands at 16th in top population. While there's a purity in those figures, they're pretty inaccurate for representing the size of a "metroplex". The confusion lies in each municipality's definition of a suburb, I think. Are Santa Barbara and Brighton considered suburbs yet? Who knows?

	@Zach: Zach, I've answered this statement on another page quiz. Many of these quizzes are based on measured statistics. If London does not have the required numbers based on the measured ramifications, it should not be on this quiz. Some of these quizzes are based on subjective things, but most are based on objective, measurable statistics.

	If the source used does not include London, the source is wrong. Period. I cannot imagine any justification for leaving it off the list.

	I'd like to see a "Most populous cities by country". 7 of the cities are in another country on the list, so I think having something like that would be really interesting.

	beerslayer: The list of the world's largest cities in the world that I put the most faith in is the UN's urban agglomerations list. Which itself does not include London in the top 25 (it's #26). Of course, all of the stats are imperfect. London's population according to the UN is roughly 8,567,000. Guangzhou, China is #25 at 8,829,000. It's certainly conceivable that you could define a city's borders in such a way as to give London more people than Guangzhou without doing anything others would deem to be not entirely truthful. However, the limits of a city's population must be defined somehow and it's not a sure thing that London would get included in the top 25 on one of these lists. Although, I do agree that it is more likely than not that it is one of the 25 most populated cities in the world. In any case, it's certainly one of the five most significant ones.

	This isn't right. No matter if its by metro area or just the city, its still not right. London is bigger than Paris in both categories. Im guessing this is metro because Osaka wouldn't be on here.
