Very nice quiz. Sad that the third row second column one is from after she dies...

@gopaladins: I considered accepting last names, but I wanted to force people to name the moms and not the family (and in some cases, the name of the series). I could be convinced though. What do people think?

I like the idea of needing to know the first name. I can think of a few not on here that would make for a good sequel-Ann Romano, Carol Brady, Laura Petri, just to name a few.

Last names are now accepted. It makes the game a little more casual, which I think is good. @SlowHandEC88: It's such an iconic image of that character. And it gave me a little chuckle.

I was really surprised Carol Brady didn't make the cut. Classic TV mom.

Cindy Walsh is the mom from Beverly Hills 90210, not the 90210 remake.

So many classic TV moms were left off. To name a few: Marge Simpson, Lucille Bluth, Carmella Soprano, Clair Huxtable. This quiz may need a sequel.

I was absolutely convinced that the mom from Buffy was Edie Falco from the Sopranos. Good quiz! I knew the show for all but one, but couldn't come up with the mom's name for some of them. Cory Matthews' mom, for instance...the parents on that show were so deemphasized after the first couple seasons that I just couldn't remember her name.

For a quiz that says "last names acceptable" it sure doesn't take many last names...

Yeah, and on top of that it accepts misspelled first names ('Harriet' for Harriette Winslow) and words that are neither the character's first nor last name, spelled rightly or wrongly, or the name of the show ('Beaver' for June Cleaver in Leave It to Beaver.) Weird...

The answers it takes (between last name, name of show, and sometimes even the character's name) are totally inconsistent.

I echo the comments about last names, but in addition, I tried to type in "Family Ties" (I know, it's not there) and "Modern Family" popped up...I love that show, but it didn't seem right that it would come up but not "Family Matters". I like the premise of this and enjoyed playing, but too many inconsistencies.

Says last names are acceptable, but it doesn't accept them. I quickly learned to just throw in the TV show titles.

Aww, Happy Mother's Day, all. Got too many wrong to echo complaints about last name consistency but applaud the unexpected inclusion of Ms. Summers and also (Best/Worst Mom ever) Nancy Botwin. I'm also sad about no Lucille Bluth (or her Archer counterpart) and no Carmela Soprano nor Cersei Lannister/Catelyn Stark and the 80,000 other great TV moms from the last forty years, but I guess that's what sequels are for.

Echoing the sentiments above about last names. Poor game. I didn't know a lot of those shows, but the ones I knew, (like Cunningham) it wouldn't take. One globe, only because zero is not an option.

once I figured out that typing in only the 1st name, it worked. I must have typed in Munster and Cunningham 5x each and it didn't work...boo.
