| @MoTheSnail- refering to the Netherlands as Holland is not accurate. Holland is a region of the Netherlands; many of the Dutch dislike the Netherlands being called Holland. |

| I would argue that these 6 were the founders of the ECSC (European Coal and Steel Community) not the EEC but it's easy enough to work out what you mean. |

| @MaryDamaris: these countries really are the founding members of EEC. But you're not wrong cause the ECSC was founded earlier by the same six nations. Actually ECSC is kind of a prelude to the EEC. |
