I find it surprising that Luxembourg is currently last in the results. I mean your only two choices are Mexico and Luxembourg. I think that one is pretty obvious. Good quiz.

Good quiz! I was really expecting to see Andorra on the vowel question.

@Noname219: Antigua and Barbuda is a mere 26 square kilometres smaller than Andorra, and Andorra is the next smallest country beginning with a vowel. By the way, I'd love some more categories for this quiz, so if you can think of any, please let me know!

According to Wikipedia, St. Kitts and Nevis is 261 km squared, and Grenada is 344. What source did you use?

Good call there. Let's be internally consistent with this: all of my sources come from the following site: https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2147rank.html I simply missed St. Kitts and Nevis. My bad.

Since you have "smallest country beginning with a vowel" in there, would "smallest country ending with a vowel" be a decent addition?

That one may be more controversial. Personally, I'd say it's Vatican City, but Y as vowel/consonant always rouses a discussion as it's case-dependent. Better to skip that entirely.

@cuendillar The Y thing hadn't even crossed my mind until you mentioned it. On second thought, it may be a good idea to skip that one just to avoid the vowel/consonant argument.

@h4ydn: No. You are wrong. Andorra is larger. Check your facts.

I would prefer more geographical and geopolitical questions rather than alphabetical questions - such as smallest country with a mountain over 3000 meters, smallest country in NATO, or smallest country with an enclave.

A couple of suggestions for categories, since you asked: smallest country to host Olympics and smallest landlocked country.

Smallest country with 4 or more bordering countries? (Could be Rwanda). Smallest country with 6 or more bordering countries? (Could be Slovakia).

fun quiz. Suggestions for other categories- smallest monarchy, smallest communist country, smallest country with an airforce, warsaw pact country, g8 country, nato country, etc. Prob will be lots of overlap though, but can check them.

An executive call on my part: Lebanon as the country with a point above 3000 meters completely bombed on this quiz. I think like 2 people got it right. So I replaced it.

smallest country that uses 'dollar'? Smallest 4-letter country? Smallest country with a population of over 50 million? Smallest country that borders China? This quiz is awesome by the way. 5 thumbs up.

I think you are confusing Euro and EU. Vatican City, Monaco and Andorra are all members of the Euro. Malta may be the smallest EU member, but it certainly isn't the smallest Euro member. As for Suriname being the smallest country in South America, surely that would have to be Aruba or Trinidad and Tobago, if you're only talking mainland countries it has to be Panama.

@bigturnip: Your assessment is incorrect. http://europa.eu/abc/european_countries/eu_members/italy/index_en.htm Check out the left column. The Vatican as well as Monaco and Andorra are not Euro member states.

Wow, you really are confused. The left column lists EU members, not euro members. The EU is an international organization between 27 countries, while the eurozone is a currency union with 19 countries (and some non-official members). The Vatican certainly uses the euro, it has always used the same currency as Italy. It has agreements with the eurozone to use the euro, so definitly should be the answer for "smallest euro member."

Jam was right, there is a difference. Personally, I'm surprised the smallest asian country isn't Singapore or Bahrain, but I trust your sources. Maybe you could add smallest middle-eastern countries, I second the smallest monarchy suggestion. Smallest landlocked state?

Yeah, you guys are right. Thank you. And world's smallest monarchy would be cool, but according to my sources, that would also be Vatican City. I've tried not to repeat any of the countries.

Good mix of categories here with no boring duplicate answers - FWIW I think you should have kept the Lebanon answer in, the fact that hardly any people got it makes it more interesting if anything

Ok, weird story: this quiz became an Editor's Pick yesterday, but I didn't pick it! Someone must have gotten on my account or something. At least whoever it was has good taste in quizzes, as I really enjoyed this and it has been "re-picked." Just thought I'd share.

@Unidentifiedkiwi: I'm glad you enjoyed my quiz! @tbh444: I liked the Lebannon answer myself, but I just had to give people a chance. I mean, less than 5% of people get these all right to begin with.
