| Needs a source... I'm guessing you used statbunker, because you've incorrectly included Lee Hodges, as have they. If you look at his profile on that site, it does list his first goal as being 30/8/95 (although for West Ham against Tottenham, rather than the other way around) but it also lists his debut as being on 17/1/98 making him 20 before he made his debut! Martin Cranie probably shouldn't count either as his goal was an own goal! That would bring Gareth Barry (Aston Villa, 18 years and 60 days) in to 19th in the list, but 20th would then be a tie between Sol "Judas" Campbell (Tottenham), and Chris Bart-Williams (Sheffield Wednesday), who both scored aged 18 years and 78 days. Bloody good idea for a quiz though, and not your fault that what is usually a pretty good source has let you down! |
