	Are all the big Philly burbs in New Jersey? Or is it mostly unincorporated sprawl or something? Seems bizarre to me that the Philly metro is so big but it seems that the largest suburb is less than 40,000 (in PA, of course).

	I've never heard of these cities beyond the first two (not a complaint though) but I guess the main reason is the HUGE dropoff from 1 to 2 and 2 on. I'm really surprised by this and never expected this from a huge state like PA. Shows what living in one US region your entire life will do for you. Besides, I expected Hershey, PA to be on the list. Stupid, delicious chocolate. Mmmmm.... chocolate. Can't wait for more states.

	@GeoExpert: No sign here regarding other states. Ohio, Illinois and Michigan all list 20 cities I believe. The Pennsylvania cities just got too small to list. The Northeast generally has smaller jurisdictions.

	surprised how large PA total population is with so many small "biggest cities". looking forward to Illinois, its definitely going to have more 100,000 person and 50,000 person cities

	@ Shoban from what i know (i live an hr outside of philly) the "suburbs" dont really extend into new jersey. if you get lost in philadelphia and keep going east you'll end up in Camden, NJ (i've done this way too many times!) the city part of philadelphia kind of fizzles out into highways and then becomes other smaller suburbs under other names. so its like unincorporated sprawl i guess, theres a bunch of suburbs outside of philly that are very close to it but are not considered apart of it.

	I thought Pittsburgh was bigger, but not surprised at the size of some of these towns. Outside the two big cities (and Allentown, I guess) there's really a lot of untamed country in Pennsylvania. Drive across the top of the state on I-80 sometime and you'll see what I mean. Nothing but woods, rivers and mountains. Bigfoot could live up there and we'd never find him.

Looking forward to Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan. Expect to see a big drop off in population after the #1 city in the Illinois quiz from the #2 city. (I think Aurora, but not sure)

	Ahh, I couldn't get any of the western cities... = It is kind of crazy how big some cities feel. I live in Plymouth Meeting (although I'm in Seoul, S. Korea right now) and Conshy feels much bigger than its ~8,000 person population. Seoul's 20 million people sure does humble cities like Philly and NYC for me... now only if I could brush up on my Korean and some social reform could be done here...

	I had no idea Pittsburgh was so small, so to speak, at least compared to Philly. I had to do a double take when I saw the difference between #1 and #2.

	@ Mennoknight, Not that I think its a great method of naming towns, but tons of towns are named after schools, forts, trading posts, etc. because the primary reason the town came into existance was for that particular establishment.

	@Go Phils- Upper Darby is a school district/township, Upper Darby "proper" (if such a thing exists) is much less than that. I live in Upper Darby township, but Im techincally in Clifton Heights.

	@ JohnJF I'll bite, if you were kidding you got me. Milwaukee has a population more than 10 times that of Scranton...and a major league baseball team, its hardly the same. I don't believe not hearing of Scranton would be considered 'pathetic'. How many people from around the country have heard of Norwalk or Danbury Connecticut? Both are larger than Scranton.
