	I had to type Stengel's whole name and "Walter" for Walter Johnson instead of both their last names, so I definitely agree with vegashokie

	Sorry everyone i messed up while making it, i'm only human. Regarding Mariano Rivera, I agree. But I didn't make this team. It was made by the Baseball writes association of America, in 1997, when Rivera had only been in the league for two years. Same case with all the other modern players you mentioned, they hadn't been in the league long/they weren't in the league.

	Dear Brooklyn Big Boy, Your first comment was voted down because of your insulting tone and your ability to heap shame on the quiz's author despite your inability to comprehend that the list was not created by him. It's unfortunate that you also choose to assail Mr Steinfeld for defending the author for your tirade. Just because he is able to read and comprehend a quiz's instructions, while you seem unable, does not make him an appropriate target for your inappropriate and infantile anatomical insults. Your subsequent comment does not in any way repudiate the voting down of your first; it only endorses it. Yours truly, Minnmich. P.S. How does one quantify one player being "100 times" better than another? Especially when that player was only three years into his career when this list was compiled? And had only 48 career saves in 1997 compared to 390 for the pitcher you seem to hold as vastly inferior? But there I go again, assuming you have some level of reading comprehension.

	I do apologize but at the time of the my 1st 2 comments i didnt realize that this list was not made by Mr Steinfield. so for that I do apologize to Mr Steinfield, pbrown, and to you minnmich. also I think that the Baseball Writers Association of America should update the list as of 2011 because there is no point of having a quiz on sporcle with the players and stats as of 1997. it just doesnt make sense to me. how about you?

	@bklynbigbo0y: I agree that Ted Williams is unquestionably a better hitter than Hank Aaron ... but given Williams' reputation as someone who didn't try in the field, and that Aaron has some gold gloves (yeah, gold gloves aren't the end all-be all of fielding) ... I would take Aaron over Williams as a more complete ball player ... same reason with Mays over Williams, and Ruth over any mortal to ever walk the planet. As far as the whole DH thing ... I am a White Sox fan, but in 1997, I would have picked Molitor over Da' Hurt ... now I am not so sure, but I won't condemn anyone from back then picking Molitor.

	DHs shouldn't even have been considered for this list. Why should Molitor have a place w/the absolute best of the best because he didn't play a defensive position most of his career. If he remained at any IF position he would have been passed over for any number of better players.
