| I'm reading Planet of Slums, by historian Mike Davis, which I highly recommend. I'd say Myanmar should be there too, and fairly high up if they allowed any such data to leak out of the country. The absence of Colombia is fairly suspect too, not too mention Russia, Angola, South Africa and possibly Mozambique. Indianwolf1992 is probably right too: a slum in, say, Detroit, as bad as it might be, doesn't even compare to, say, one in Manila or Mumbai, or Luanda. |
