Could you add "Catalaunian fields" and "Catalaunian plains" for Chalons? And the question on the Sack of Rome is a very weak - the answer is already present in the question.

How about the Battle of Aquae Sextiae in 102 BC when Gaius Marius destroyed the Germans. A very pivotal battle for Rome: It the Germans were poised to overrun Italy after having destroyed multiple Roman Armies over the previous decade; it showed the success of the Marian reforms (which in turn contributed to multiple civil wars and the eventual fall of the republic).

Also Battle of Pharsalus in 48 BC was the decisive battle in Caesar's civil war. Caesar's defeat of Pompey Magnus was there was the biggest battle leading to him being named dictator for life. Battle of Philippi in 42 BC was a bigger battle than Actium. It was really the end of the Republic. There Anthony and Octavian (Augustus) defeated Brutus and Cassius (Caesar's assassins) and cemented their place as the unquestioned leaders of Rome. From that point onward the Senate had no real power to speak of.
