	The Commonwealth is effectively the successor to the British Empire, now that most of the former Empire colonies have become independent countries, although there are a couple of members which weren't former colonies.

	Got to the Commonwealth question, and I type in "Mumbai"--no luck. Then I type in "Kolkata"--no luck. So, I skip the question. Then I come back and reread the question when I see the key word "country." (I guess that's what happens when you answer three questions in a row asking about "cities" and suddenly get one asking for "country.")

	I liked the "State in India" question. I think we should see states, provinces etc. of countries other than USA more often on quizzes like this.

	@UnitedRoadRed: The definitions of the size of a city are somewhat arbitrary, whether it includes a whole metropolitan area or just a city proper of a whole urban area, the definitions of which are also rather hazy. Tokyo is the largest metropolitan area in the world by population according to the UN. Do some research before being cocky about your statements.

	@segacs: I live in Pennsylvania. It is a commonwealth. Therefore using a phrase like "THE" with "commonwealth" is simply incorrect. If they mean the British commonwealth, then they should say it.

	@ktappe: What other commonwealths have countries as members though? The context makes it quite obvious that "Commonwealth" refers to, well, The Commonwealth (as it is most often called), and not Virginia or the Bahamas or any other political entity which has the word "commonwealth" in its formal name. Similarly, you can assume that "United States" refers to the United States of America, and not the United Mexican States, even though both are technically states that are united.

	I think it would be helpful if the clue were amended to say "Country in British Commonwealth" in spite of whether or not it is clear in its current form. I'm not saying that the way it is now is incorrect; I'm simply saying that it would be helpful to change it to make it more accessible to more people who would otherwise be able to get the answer.

	I am very surprised at the level of ignorance regarding the Commonwealth. Its correct name is the Commonwealth of Nations, but "Commonwealth" is always used as its short form (see website: http://www.thecommonwealth.org ). The concept dates back to the 1870s but the organisation has not been officially known as the British Commonwealth since it was reconstituted in 1949. Over 2.1 billion (+30%) of the world's population and 54 (+27%) of its states are members. It is an entirely voluntary organisation. The only existing countries that have left the Commonwealth are Ireland and Zimbabwe and there are presently six applicant nations.

	Pakistan has never been part of the Arab world. Islamic, yes, Arab no. Most people in Pakistan speak Indo-European languages. I don't think there has ever been a significant Arab presence

	I agree that one of these questions is much harder than the rest. I had to spend the last minute typing in the names of American cities, hoping that one of them was a state capital. Struck it lucky with 9 seconds remaining thankfully...
