	I guess this is by cities proper, rather than metro areas? Otherwise I'd think Paris should be on there - the wikipedia article on the tallest buildings in Paris gives 69 with heights over 100m, but many of them are outside the city limits, in La Défense.

	@Almasa: Emporis is not including buildings where they do not have the exact height. Taipei has a plethora of buildings in the 25-30 story range (which almost certainly would be on here) without heights on Emporis. Another site, SkyscraperPage, gives Taipei 71 such buildings, a nice diagram of which can be found here: http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=49819214 .

	Great to see a quiz indicating modernity in which Western Europe is actually under-represented. I am surprised at the lack of Taipei, however.

	I find it really funny that Europe that is really confined in space has far less sky scrapers than places with a lot of unused land such as the americas and australia

	I'm not surprised to see Europe so underrepresented. Generally, the older a city is, the smaller its buildings will be.

	I was a bit surprised Dallas was on the list, with all the land they have there. Los Angeles tries to limit building heights due to earthquakes. Washington doesn't have any because no building can be taller than the Washington Monument.

	Another factor making Europe underrepresented is that many cities in Europe do not have suitable ground for building skyscrapers; bedrock is relatively rare in proximity to large European cities. Most important cities were also already built up quite a lot by the time technological advances made skyscrapers possible, making it more difficult to find locations for them.

	I realized about halfway through the quiz that reading the names of the tallest buildings might be helpful. I think the percentage who got Honolulu would be a lot higher if everyone had read the names!

	When describing a skyscraper, it doesn't mean just an office tower. With Honolulu, you got to expect a lot of condos, hotels, etc.

	Building heights are usually a function of available land, hence taller buildings in places like Manhattan, Honolulu or Hong Kong where space is at a premium

	Pretty amazing that Australia has 2 in the top 20 and 4 in the top 50. Sydney in 12th! I thought Sydney was pretty weak compared to other cities but 12th isn't bad. Would be many more if there weren't stupid height restrictions in place! Not bad for a small country.

	Yep we have more cities in the top 50 than anyone else besides only China and the US. We are proud of our modern high rise cities :). Not surprised Honolulu being up their, most of the buildings are hotels in Waikiki.
