	Nice Mix! I messed up on one because I didn't use the name of the country as it was at that time - slapping my head on that one. It is also interesting that four of these people are still head of state now, thirty-five years later. I only wish taht you had included the President of North Korea, cause then I could have said five.

	This is a very nice quiz, with a good range of countries and a solid year to pick. However, I would probably halve the time, because you should be able to get most from the names or the clues in their titles, and then you can spend 7 minutes guessing every country of the world for the ones you don't know.

	gowhere -- Kim Jong Il has only been the head of North Korea since 1994. Before that it was his father, Kim Il Sung.

	Good quiz - might be a bit Europe-heavy, with 14 of the thirty, though. Asia in particular could use a couple more entries.

	Great idea, but far too much time, even 5 minutes would be more than sufficient. Make it three or four minutes, or increase the number of leaders/add more lesser known ones (say, leaders of Fiji, Guyana, Barbados, etc.).

	@chambles91 - you miss the point spectacularly. As sprout points out, who cares if you haven't heard of them, the fun comes in using the subtle (or not-so-subtle - the king of Belgium's name contains "van België"!) clues in the titles to figure out the country. And anyway, it's a history quiz; if you've never heard of (e.g.) Franco, Sadat, Suharto or Reza Shah then you probably shouldn't be here in the first place.

	Sorry, wondering cursor got me - it means "What is the name of the person in charge of daily function" and I think that we would all agree that in Europe, those people are the PMs and not the monarchs.

	@phdstudent: Given that 'Head of State' is a specific term with a specific meaning, I think the quiz is clear. I could have done something like Heads of Government, but that could have possibly have caused more confusion as people might have put their own interpretation on that.

	Nice quiz, some easy, some hard. And Im an idiot. I couldnt figure out why "Germany" wasnt being accepted for Scheel. Completely forgot to factor in the time period.

	If you're looking for "What is the name of the person in charge of daily function," you're looking for the Head of Government, not the Head of State. It just so happens that in the U.S. the Head of State and Head of Government are the same person.

	@paranoid_android The problem is that "Head of State" doesn't have a specific meaning at all: it can refer to the figurehead who has no real power (e.g. kings and queens), or to the head of government in a parliamentary system, or even the head of the state department. I refer you to the wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head_of_state Hence, in the case of Israel for example, Head of State could be Ephraim Katzir, but it would be much more appropriate to choose Yitzhak Rabin, who exercised the real international political power.

	@jonnyboy180: If you are going to use Wikipedia as your source of reference, you will see that it refers to Ephraim Katzir as President of Israel in 1975, and that the President of Israel is the Head of State of Israel. Yes, the powers of Head of State can vary immensely from country to country and some Countries (eg: Switzerland) have no head of state at all. This isn't a quiz about the power holders in a given country in 1975, but a quiz about Heads of State - and for each of the countries that are an answer, the named person was the Head of State at the time.
