	The old age one doesn't really fit in--all the others were killed, they didn't just die. also, peter pettigrew wasn't killed by voldemort, his was more of a suicide situation (even though he didn't mean for it to happen). james and lily were killed during the first wizarding war, so it would make more sense for them to be included as bonus answers. you forgot ted tonks. and i might just be forgetting, but when did they tell tom riddle sr.'s parent's names? if it's not in the books it should also be a bonus.

	Ted Tonks is there. The riddles aren't mentioned by name, but we know that he killed the riddles so....I've included them. I'd say Peter Pettigrew was killed by Voldemort, seeing as his hand was his own creation. James and Lily were killed during the first wizarding war, however they were killed nonetheless. Technically, if you were to make that complaint, many of the others here wouldn't be included: eg. Regulus Arcturus Black, Moaning Myrtle, the Gaunts, etc. None of them died explicitly during the time period the books are set in either. Thanks for the suggestions though.

	if Amelia Bones is an actual answer, why is Emmeline Vance not the same - their deaths both happened during the same time period and are mentioned together at the beginning of HBP

	So if the Riddles weren't mentioned by name, how are people supposed to know what they are? You should allow Mr. and Mrs. Riddle or something. I suggested including James and Lily as bonus answers because all the others who were killed during the first wizarding war were--consistency. I never said they weren't killed. Also, the Gaunts and Moaning Myrtle were killed prior to the first actual war (as were Hokey and Hepzibah Smith and probably several others that I'm not thinking of at the moment). I agree with robzall--your decisions for who to include as a bonus and who not to are not very consistent and don't always make sense.

	Nope. Albus Dumbledore DEFEATED Grindelwald in a duel, and sent him to Nurmengard. Later, Voldemort sought him out (in the 7th book) to ask him about the Elder wand, and when Grindelwald refused to give him information, Voldemort murdered him.

	I can only remember in the books it saying that Florean Fortescue was dragged away by the death eaters in the night, I don't remember reading explicitly that he'd been murdered by them but I suppose it's a pretty safe bet to assume he was. Also a question about Bathilda Bagshot, I only remember it saying that her body had been used by Voldemort/Nagini rather than they had killed her then used her body to lure in Harry?

	thebantams1903 - RE Bathilda Bagshot: when Harry went to her house, it stank of rotting flesh. Also - later in the book, on "Potterwatch", Lee Jordan says that they "found the remains of Bathilda Bagshot" (apparently there was also evidence that her body was used by dark magic).

	I find it odd that the Flamels are listed (when their actual deaths are not recorded or described in the books and is therefore speculative), and Binns is just a bonus when his death is described.

	@ padawanofpie - yes, I remember that from the book so you're probably perfectly right to assume that Voldemort/Nagini murdered her. I doubt that he just happened to be walking down the street and thought he'd pop in to see how she was doing; then on finding her lifeless corpse think 'hmm...maybe I could use this to my advantage'. Really like the quiz by the way :)

	AWESOME quiz. It looks pretty complete to me, except for Luna's mother (which you should definitely add; it's the whole reason she can see the thestrals!), although I haven't read the books in a while. I'd vote for moving the Flamels to a bonus. Binns's death is described, but isn't it more like a rumor among the student body and not a factual account of what happened? For that reason, I'd leave him in the bonuses, too. I'd say anyone who is explicitly named as dying in one of the books should be in the quiz; anyone who is named that we can safely assume is dead, but we weren't told exactly how or when should be a bonus.

	The death of Dumbledore wasn't really a murder, right? It was consensual. It was made to appear as a murder to enhance Snape's credibility with the Voldemort and the Death Eaters but it was closer to euthanasia.
