Nice names for made-up countries in fiction. Sweden and Denmark used to be one country, in a part of history. And the Israel-El Salvador pairing sounds like a good personal name, a Jewish-Hispanic movie character or so.

Great quiz! Keep them coming! lolz to the above comments. I also like Benindia, which sounds plausible as a country name. Mexicolombia sounds like an alternative name for what was the Republic of Central America (being bordered by Mexico to the north and Colombia to the south).

Nice quiz. Some of the names (e.g. Swedenmark) actually sound like a country that could exist. Although I think Iceland's capital is spelled Reykjavik. And maybe accept "Burmarshall Islands" for the last one as well?

Most of these sound like diseases. "I'm sorry, Mr. Johnson, you have Irangola."

So that's why Cote d'Ivoire and Ireland have virtually the same flag!

@thisisname: Definitely agreed regarding "burmarshall islands". Also, even though they don't fit, I think "ivory coast ireland" and "haiti east timor" should be accepted, just to be fair.
