You should use the Sporcle standard Timor-Leste and accept East Timor as an alternate. Otherwise, interesting quiz!

I have to think what double land locked means.

"Doubly-Landlocked" is actually an official geographical term and means that from the said country, you have to cross at least two borders to reach a coastline. There are only two such countries in the world and so they asked above in the quiz. :-)

I like the concept and the quiz, but I think you could do better than the 6 countries between 8 and 9 million people. It just seems a little too unfair. The other eight categories test if you know something; that tests how good you are at guessing countries that are around a certain population. It's just a little too arbitrary. Otherwise, I really like this.

Yeah - I was 50/50 as to whether I should include it! :P Thanks for the comment though, next time I don't think I'll pick an arbitrary category :-)

The Caspian Sea is longer than Tanganyika.

The Caspian Sea is the largest lake but Tanganyika is definitely the longest freshwater lake according to my sources.

The plates category is more geology than geography. Not sure if that matters, but it seems like it doesn't quite fit.

It is more geology, but the plates are a significant part of so-called 'Physical Geography', the population and people part being referred to as 'Human Geography'. It's a broad spectrum subject. :-)

I agree with koopa08, the Caspian Sea is longer than Tanganyika.

Half the sources say Caspian and half say Tanganyika. Thus, I'll accept Caspian as an answer. I wish the internet had a definitive answer :-). Thanks BoomrShine for the comment.

The issue probably comes down to "what is a lake"? Some sources consider the Caspian Sea a lake, others a sea, and others even a small ocean.

True - it's a bit ambiguous due to those definitions. For sake of simplicity, I'll keep Caspian Sea instead of Tanganyika. :-)
