And technically Patriots, 49ers and 76ers, Yankees, Mets and any team name pertaining to Native Americans would all count as mammals as well in that they're talking about people.

props on wizards, but by the same logic, giants should count, too. buffalo bills and dallas mavericks names both refer to people (john mccain, maybe?). but it turns out that sbwelborn is right about pacers: the name refers to both the car and the horse. neat!

The Pacers are named for the "Pace" of the Indy 500, not for a damned horse. Also, Bravo to all you people suggesting birds as answers, because I'm certainly secure enough with my "Mamm"hood to go lay an egg or something.
