Might be just me but I'm pretty sure if I'd had the whole list lying in front of me I couldn't type them all in under 1 minute. Love it, big SK fan.

I think the point is to name as many as possible. Not to get them all.

What about Different Seasons, Just After Sunset, On Writing, Danse Macabre...?
Jul 27th, 2011 at 00:08 GMT
Different Seasons was a short story collection. Are there other collections on the list? Danse Macabre was non-fiction. I imagine that's why it was left off. Probably better if the title used the word "novels" instead of "books," if that's the case.

Skeleton Crew and Full Dark, No Stars are both short story collections that are listed here. Night Shift, Everything's Eventual, and Nightmares and Dreamscapes are short story collections that are missing here. Also missing is Storm of the Century.

I'm kind of confused on the logic behind some of the books that were left off. Since the quiz asked for Stephen King "books" and not just "novels", I lost some time trying the short story and novella collections. Which is fair enough I suppose, but if we're only supposed to guess the novels, why include Hearts in Atlantis and Full Dark, No Stars but none of the other short fiction collections?
Aug 21st, 2011 at 16:53 GMT
Yeah, how Skeleton Crew can be on here, but not Night Shift or even Four Past Midnight kinda throws me off...
Aug 21st, 2011 at 17:01 GMT
Agree with the above. I tried both Night Shift and Four Past Midnight which weren't accepted. Can you cite the source you used?

Also, why no On Writing?
Aug 21st, 2011 at 19:13 GMT
Full Dark No Stars is a collection of novellas not actual novels.

Thanks for the feedback on this one. We made several changes, collections and novellas are now bonus answers. So the quiz was so...uh...scary.

Nice quiz. I just read the Green Mile. Good book.

@kidhill: It's an autobiography, not a novel.

For the life of me, couldn't remember how "cemetery" was misspelled in the title.

How could you possibly expect to name them all in a minute . Good idea but more time needed.
Aug 23rd, 2011 at 03:07 GMT
I'm a big King fan but a minute is far too short.
Aug 23rd, 2011 at 14:50 GMT
Guys, there's already a quiz to name all the Stephen King books. This one is just "how many can you name in a minute?" Nobody expects you to get them all without cheating.
Aug 23rd, 2011 at 15:18 GMT
I was hoping to get "The Lamp Monster" as a bonus.

Don't think Cycle of the Werewolf, Ur, The Colorado Kid or Blockade Billy really count as novels. Although Ur is so quick to type it's handy for an easy point (or would have been if I'd thought of it...)

I agree w/phillyphanatic...1 minute is far too short a time to list all of his books.
