| Yes, there was definitely a rat which Pi threw at Richard Parker. There were also flies which were hovering around the zebra's wound, which must have come from the ship as you wouldn't get flies in the middle of the ocean. (Some people also think these flies laid eggs on the dead animals/ bodies which turned into maggots and is the allegory for the meerkats later on) |
