	@sinatra22. quite a blunt question but there are many reasons.Infant mortatilty is one so more kids increases the chances of the family surviving. Many countries don't have pensions so the only way to be looked after in your older years is by your kids. 1 house with 8 people makes more financial sense than with just 4 people despite the discomfort is another reason. A more tragic reason is to sell children for various things and this still happens. Im sure there are many more in depth reasons but we should just feel very lucky in the West to have the life we have.

	Just an idea, I like the quiz, but you should try listing them in order by the average between the area and population ranking. Instead of listing all the area ranks first and the few population ones at the end.

	Not to nitpick, but there shouldn't be 'either' in the title. That would mean it's in the top twenty of population or area but not both. OK, so I am being a nitpick.

	@sinatra22 and megascarp--there is a direct connection between educational opportunities for women and number of children. In countries where women are free, equal, and educated, childbirth rates go down. Of course, it is also related to economic opportunities--people who are more affluent tend to have fewer children. If you want to do something about overpopulation, work for equality and economic freedom for all--especially women. (Sorry about the rant. It's a pet cause of mine.)
