| Qatar and France kind of got a raw deal from the quiz format. Because there are so few countries starting with Q (only Qatar) and F (France, Fiji, and Finland) they both got featured on the most corrupt countries list even though they had relatively high scores (which in this context means less corruption). So poor Qatar with the 19th best score out of 186 countries end up in the quiz simply because it's the only country starting with Q. Likewise France with the 25th best score out of 186 also ends up in the quiz because it didn't beat Finland and Fiji had no score. Similar story with Oman. Perhaps there should have been a threshold to appear on the list, say score below 5 which would eliminate Qatar, France, and Oman from the quiz. Especially since Qatar and Oman seem to be the only islands of low corruption in the middle east: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f7/World_Map_Index_of_perception_of_corruption_2010.svg/2000px-World_Map_Index_of_perception_of_corruption_2010.svg.png |
