This was a fun challenge! I can't speak for others, but I found the timing perfect. I got the last answer with six seconds left.

I agree about timing being perfect - I missed one but I had 33 seconds to come up with it and drew a blank.

Good quiz. Sporcle is (sort of) teaching me well -- I managed to come up with Chisinau despite having no idea what country it's in.

Pristina isn't a European capital.

Hmmm 6 right but I managed to miss the most guessed. Sporclitis strikes!

@brokenviolin Istanbul isn't a capital city. Ankara is the capital of Turkey...

Reykjavik, capital of Iceland, is nine-letter word and it is not part of Europe?
| Zak6009: | Oct 31st, 2012 at 19:09 GMT | | 7 points |
Got all 64 letters!
| JLKeip: | Oct 31st, 2012 at 19:15 GMT | | 5 points |
I would arrange the answer in alphabetical order to give some slight bit of help.

What's your point, JWarshaw? Yes that is a nine-letter capital, but 8-letter capitals were asked. While Iceland isn't on the continent of Europe (being an island), it's still generally considered to be a Nordic country and part of Europe.

I agree with the first comments, timing is perfect to make you rack your brain, and it doesn't allow you typing every random capital.

Missed Helsinki which is the one city on this quiz that I have actually visited. It's also the most guessed answer. Easy to chalk it up to Sporclitis, but still hard to understand - not to mention embarrassing.

It's interesting that Yugoslavia contained 3/8 of these.

I would have killed at the 6-letter version.

Easy! London, Lisbon, Madrid, Prague...wait...EIGHT letters? Poo.
| Dantelle: | Nov 2nd, 2012 at 14:36 GMT | | 2 points |
Damn Brussels! I always though of it in my native language and there the city has got seven letters.

On the other hand, in my native language, Brussels has got nine letters ! Another useless fun fact.
