| The cards are numbered from left to right: the first row is 1 2 3 4, the second row is 5 6 7 8, and the third is 9 10 11 12. Enter the numbers of any three cards that form a set. There are four characteristics of a card: number of symbols; color; shape; and whether the shapes are filled, empty, or striped. In order to form a valid set, for all attributes cards must either all be the same or all be different. For example, one solid green diamond, two solid green ovals, and three solid green swirls would make a set, because they are different numbers, the same color, the same shape, and different fillings. But if there were two green cards and one that was red, it wouldn't be a valid set. |
