Great quiz idea. You're missing at least two. Riga, Latvia and Luanda, Angola.

thanks, i knew i probably made a few mistakes here or there. also i'm not sure about Yaren because Nauru is a tiny little dot and it doesnt really HAVE a capital and also it's sometimes called "The Yaren District" but i'll put it as a bonus anyway.

Great game! 5 stars. I would put Yaren as a proper answer - I know it's a region, but it's standard on official sporcle quizes.

the capital of yemen is san'a rather than sanaa, if youre going to stick with that one at least accept alternate spellings

Great one. Had a slow start because the quiz said "enter a country in the box below" but it turns out you have to type capital and country. Either change the text, or change it to accepting capitals only.

San'a', Sana, San'a, San'aa, Sana'a, Sanaa... etc. are generally all acceptable spellings, so what it boils down to is one 'a' or two, since the apostrophes are filtered out. Also, 'Yangon, Burma' is 11 letters; since Myanmar is the more common name, perhaps only as a bonus answer, though.

thanks for the plays dudes, did some more fine-tuning. And the problem with "Yangon, Burma" is not only that the country's name has changed, but there's an alternate (or changed?) capital too. way too confusing but i'll consider it as a bonus.

Maybe change the instructions to enter a capital and a country, i was entering countries then capitals and wondering why you had forgotten so many!Dense I know, but there you go.

Yangon's no longer the capital of Myanmar, although all of the foreign embassies are still located there; it's Naypyidaw. Similar to Dodoma/Dar in Tanzania, Cotonou/Porto Novo in Benin, and how Abuja/Lagos used to be in Nigeria before the Nigerians forced the int'l community to move shop.

Sucre is the constitutional capital of Bolivia, while La Paz is the seat of their government. At a minimum, both should be accepted.

Considering the question asks to name the country and its capital, it's really not cool that naming the country and its capital in that order is not accepted. Either the note needs to state that it must be "capital, country" or "country, capital" should be accepted.

Why is Nuaru relegated to a bonus answer when that is the answer on all other Sporcle quizzes? Also, I'm fairly sure that San'a is listed on the "4 letter capitals" quiz ... I know that it doesn't really matter in teh perameters of this quiz and that there are several accepted ways of spelling it but at least it would be consistent. Good quiz, btw :o)

@tigerschick: Nauru does not have an official capital, but Yaren is the largest settlement and the seat of Parliament.

There are a ton that have 13 total letters, usually in the 6+7 format. Very frustrating.
