| I would be interested to see a new version of this list, now that 15 years have passed. There are a lot of recent players who would have to get serious consideration for a new list...Gonzalez at TE...Bruce Smith or Michael Strahan at DE...Elway, Marino, Favre, Manning, or Brady at QB...Brian Dawkins, John Lynch, or Ed Reed at Safety...Derrick Thomas, Junior Seau, or Ray Lewis at LB...Harrison, Owens, Moss, Bruce, Holt, Carter, and probably a couple others could get consideration at WR...Deion Sanders at CB...Morten Andersen and Gary Anderson at Kicker...Probably a handful of other guys I've forgotten going back to the early-mid 90s, and I wouldn't even know where to start on offensive linemen. I guess in another 9 years they can make a 100th Anniversary team, and maybe they'll add a spot or two at each position so the more recent players could be recognized without having to knock off a bunch of the older players. |
