Being a musician, I've gotta say I was surprised to discover that a B diminished chord only required a B, a D and an F. For me, the full diminished requires four notes (B, D, F and Ab). The half-diminished requires four, also (B, D, F, A).

Actually, a normal diminished chord only requires the three notes (with two minor thirds between each, and the diminished 5th between the outer notes). A diminished 7th chord has the four notes each a minor third apart, while the half-diminished 7th is as you said (minor third, minor third, major third, major second).

Chromatos is right. B diminished = B D F, B diminished seventh = B D F Ab, and B half-diminished seventh = B D F A.
