Before anyone asks "why wasn't _____ included", I set two restrictions. The first is that the move can not include the name of the wrestler who used it. This eliminates moves like the Perfect Plex, Edgecution and Stratusfaction, which would have otherwise been included. The second was that the move either had to have a wrestler-specific name, or be so associated with a certain wrestler that there could be no mistake (ie. The figure four for Flair). I came extremely close to including the Sharpshooter, but I just know that there would be someone who would say "but The Rock uses the sharpshooter sometimes too". So, sadly, it wasn't included... For now.

Kingston's should be Trouble in Paradise, also it says My Kennedy instead of Mr. Other than that, a pretty good mix of newer/older.
May 6th, 2012 at 23:31 GMT
Nice quiz, but you might to fix "My Kennedy" to "Mr. Kennedy"... also Kofi's finisher is Trouble in Paradise not Boom Drop
May 6th, 2012 at 23:44 GMT
Fixed in both cases. Thanks. I should also note that I'm open to expanding the quiz, so any suggestions (as long as they fit the criteria in the top post) are quite welcome.

Contrary to popular belief, the 619 (tiger feint kick) is not Rey Mysterio's finisher. It's a signature setup move (like the late, great Eddie Guerrero's triple vertical suplexes called The Three Amigos) used to position an opponent for his finisher (Eddie's finisher was the Frog Splash), meaning he does it in every match to position an opponent for his finisher. Rey Mysterio's finishers are the West Coast Pop (springboard seated senton), Droppin' the Dime (springboard legdrop), and unnamed springboard splash. He also occasionally uses a Huracanrana.

Zeppelin1985, the reason 3/4 of those moves weren't used is because they are used by others and don't have a name unique to that wrestler. The 450 Splash is used by several wrestlers now (ie. Justin Gabriel) as is the Sharpshooter. It's like the DDT. I'd like to include them, but I know it would create some confusion. Troy94, that is true. He does use just the 619 as a finisher occasionally, but I used it since it's the best known name. I suppose I could change it to the West Coast Pop.

Kevin Steen - Package Piledriver. He's the only relevant wrestler that uses it, and every quiz needs at least one answer that requires a serious knowledge of the subject to get it right, and casual wrestling fans (that only watch WWE) probably don't know who he is (but should)! For a bit more variety from TNA, could add "Best Moonsault Ever" - Christopher Daniels. But anyway, awesome quiz! The clickable quizzes are a lot of fun and I'd love to see more wrestling-based ones!

Suggested additions: Last Call (James Storm); Eat Defeat (Gail Kim); Top Rope Elbowdrop (Randy Savage); Implant Buster (Kharma/Awesome Kong); Cross Armbreaker (Alberto Del Rio); Crippler Crossface (Chris Benoit); Lo Down (D'Lo Brown); Death Sentence (AMW); Flux Capacitor (Kazarian); Angel's Wings (Christopher Daniels);

great quiz, fun to remember some of those old moves from back in the day.. could have used a just a little more time (65 in 7 minutes is pretty quick!) but still was a great challenge, well done
May 9th, 2012 at 00:00 GMT
If you want a few more to fill out the bottom row, how about Hornswoggle (Tadpole Splash), Bushwhackers (Battering Ram), Drew McIntyre (Future Shock DDT), JTG (Shout Out), & Michelle McCool (Faith Breaker).
May 9th, 2012 at 01:26 GMT
Not to get too nitpicky, but Jeff Jarrett used the figure-four as his finisher for a long time.
May 9th, 2012 at 02:22 GMT
I'd also put in a vote for more time. I'm not super-familiar with all of these finishers, and would have liked enough time to ponder some. I've noticed a lot of clickables have more than enough time to finish the quiz...making your score dependent on your knowledge and not speed. Still, I enjoyed the quiz.

For some more variety (but mostly because their moves sound so insanely cool), throw some classic puro in there: Mitsuharu Misawa (Emerald Flowsion), Kenta Kobashi (Burning Hammer), etc. Also, every list is improved with the addition of Kobashi. It's a proven scientific fact.
May 10th, 2012 at 02:26 GMT
Suggestions: Punjabi Plunge (Great Khali), Lil Jimmy (R Truth), Baldo Bomb (Lord Tensai), Broski Kick (Zack Ryder), Widow's Peak (Tara/Victoria), Bionic Elbow (Dusty Rhodes)

I read "Cobra Clutch" but was thinking "Camel Clutch" and couldn't figure out why The Iron Sheik wasn't there.
May 11th, 2012 at 18:05 GMT
Suggestions: Pounce (Monty Brown/Marcus Cor Von), Ghost Buster (Koko B. Ware), Cradle Piledriver (Jerry Lynn), Paydirt (Shelton Benjamin), Dudebuster DDT (Trent Barreta).
May 20th, 2012 at 04:23 GMT
More time?! There was 5:40 left and that's with having to scroll up and down to get to the later names. I love a wrasslin' clickable quiz.
Jul 14th, 2012 at 15:53 GMT
Did it with 5:55 to go, great quiz
Aug 28th, 2012 at 12:57 GMT
Isn't Daniel Bryan's finisher called the No Lock now?
Dec 9th, 2012 at 20:19 GMT
It's a bit too easy. Add some that will require a lot of knowledge to get. eg. High Fly Flow: Hiroshi Tanahashi. Meltdown: Brian Clark Emerald Fusion: Mitsuhara Misawa etc.

I knew very few of these, but had fun anyway because of the names I'd never heard of. Also, thinking of these names as if they were the names of sexual positions is very entertaining.
Dec 22nd, 2012 at 02:45 GMT
All done with 6:30 left on the clock.
Dec 22nd, 2012 at 07:16 GMT
I missed Randy Savage because I forgot for a second that HBK doesn't actually finish anyone with his elbow drop.
Dec 22nd, 2012 at 08:11 GMT
Did anyone else look for Greg the Hammer Valentine or The Iron Sheik when getting to the figure 4 or the camel clutch?
Dec 22nd, 2012 at 15:02 GMT
I kept looking for Lex Luger when I saw Attitude Adjustment. It's not the finisher he's best known for, but it would have been a good swerve.
Dec 22nd, 2012 at 18:43 GMT
Needs more ROH and TNA guys. =P
Dec 23rd, 2012 at 00:01 GMT
Arguable choice for Mysterio. The 619 is his finisher, he just follows up with something else after it. He's used the 'droppin' the dime' springboard legdrop, springboard splash, diving splash and 'West coast pop' springboard hurricanrana at different times. I guess it depends what you consider the "finisher" to be (and I don't mind either way, so don't vote me down!), but it's an argument for people to have!
Dec 23rd, 2012 at 22:36 GMT
What?!?! no "Fameasser"??? WTF?!?!
Dec 31st, 2012 at 19:14 GMT
619 is not a finisher if it doesn't FINISH! Or else you'd have to include the Five Knuckle Shuffle or the SOS.
Jan 22nd, 2013 at 14:10 GMT
Rey Mysterio's finisher is 619... is it not?
Apr 19th, 2013 at 16:40 GMT
Rey's finisher is technically the frog splash. Luger's finisher was the Human Torture Rack. A lot of guys use the figure four but Flair is the one who made it famous and really made it his own. Would argue that Angle's finisher is the Ankle lock and not the slam as he tends to go for the tap out more. I also agree that more TNA guys and girls are needed for example the Styles Clash, Botox Injection, Last Call, Angel Wings, and Eat Defeat are some that come to mind.
