| There are some unusual cases. For example, Jerry Lee Lewis won a Grammy with a group of artists for a spoken word album. I don't count that as a Grammy win for him. The soundtrack for a doc about The Clash won a Grammy (years after the band disbanded). I don't count that either. In other cases, artists or bands similar to an indcted act won (ie Elvis Costello solo, Page and Plant, Velvet Revolver). They also are not counted as wins, because it refers to the specific inducted act. Pete Townshend won a Grammy for a musical show album based on Tommy (an album originally by The Who). Again, not counted. |
