	Does anyone have any better suggestions for the descriptions of The Rock and Matt Hardy? Not many are getting them. Originally for Hardy I had "lifestyle guru", but I changed it to "'Version 1' (Mattitude)". As for the rock, it's tough to describe his gimmick in less than 30 characters. At the moment, more people are getting Rico than The Rock, so there must be a problem with his description.

	Apparently I'm in quite the minority, but I loved the Midnight Rider (despite always rooting against Rhodes). Perhaps the problem was that Rhodes had done the same thing about 3 years earlier. It made for some great interviews. If you want to see them, go to youtube and search "Midnight Rider" as soliewrestling has put up a bunch of clips.

	Vince McMahon should have won 'Best Gimmick' in 1998. And did The Undertaker really have to win all those years? I would have chosen Michaels over him. I've always liked his character more. DDP and Goldust making the 'Worst' list is pretty stupid IMO too. Hell, Goldust should have won 'Best Gimmick', it's not like Disco Inferno was a much better choice.

	I agree with you on Goldust (although you have to admit, on paper it's a stupid idea for a gimmick... Then again, so is an "undead wrestler", but the WWE made it work), but it was DDP's awful gimmick he had in the WWE that won him the award, not his WCW days.

	I think it is not only about the idea of the gimmick but also about the impersonation of same, which may explain Halloway's reign, since he sold it very well. At the same time it's also the gimmick and Michaels did not have much of one (apart from HBK). So basically this is not a like-contest (gotta say though, I preferred the Undertaker over Shawn twice a day and thrice on sundays back in the day when I still followed wrestling). As an aside: there's a typo in "varsity".

	1995- Best gimmick Disco Inferno Worst - Goldust.... Think they had that reversed. GOldust owned! I liked Disco Inferno, for some reason, but it's a terrible gimmick.

	Maybe "Electrifying Trash Talker" for Rock? I also loved the original Goldust gimmick...and 90% of the gimmicks on that "worst" list...

	I'll reiterate and say that Dave Meltzer must have been smoking crack in '95 to deal with the down period in the business, because Glenn Gilberti's disco dancing is certainly not superior to the magnificence that was the Goldust character in 1995-1996. Admittedly, it was awful by 1997 and Runnels deserved the award for sure, but not in '95! I also loved DDP's gimmick in 2001, but I just love Dallas Page in general. Such an underrated star whose legacy, I fear, is fading away as a result of WCW's death.

	Some of these are quite reactionary to the given year. I think Goldust getting the award in '95 if you put it into context. Dustin Rhodes was undoubtedly on the path to become WCW World Champion until Hogan signed with WCW. So, WWF gets their hands on that guy... and they saddle him with something outlandish. In retrospect, the Goldust character at that time was brilliant; it's just people reacting to the choices some companies took with guys who were beloved elsewhere. I imagine it's the same reason that DDP is on there.
