You did it by at bats, perhaps you could add pitchers under a differant criteria, such as games played or innings pitched. How did I forget Gehrig?

A few names I was shocked to see just fell short -- Bill Russell, Edgar Martinez, Don Mattingly. Great quiz!

Jones will pass Trammell this season. Surprised Barry Larkin fell short. Here's a current list of MLB Lifers: http://espn.go.com/mlb/features/lifers

Agree about Chipper Jones, especially since Jeter is listed.

It looks like Chipper is done with 9,654 PA putting him at #21 on the list, just 6 at bats short of Gehrig.

I looked at making a similar quiz for pitchers, based on IP, but through the first 40 guys on the all-time IP list, only 3 spent their whole careers with one team.

Bagwell never made it to the majors with Boston. He was traded before he made his big league debut.

Bagwell was drafted by the Sox but never played a game in the majors., why does Chipper have an asterisk?

Why is there an asterisk next to Chipper Jones' name? At first I thought it was because he is an active player, but Jeter doesn't have one.

I don't think Bagwell can be included in good faith. Use of the term "franchise" connotes not just a single team, but a single system.

Great game, there were some really obscure ones for me, but I'm mad at myself for missing a couple obvious ones in Gehrig and Yount.

Assuming Chipper Jones has an asterisk because he is still active, Jeter should have one too.
