| Fun quiz! Can't believe I missed TCU... |

| Great fun quiz! Quizzes like this that keep me guessing the whole time throughout the quiz are the best, where its not so easy that its boring or so hard that you give up. |

| Maybe it is because I hate them so much. But I forgot Miami:( |

| Great Quiz. got 40 out of 43. I always forget about Boston College on these things. |

| Arkansas: one week? Didnt Georgia Tech win a national championship a few years ago? or come real close? |
 | norwalkiian: | Oct 18th, 2010 at 05:42 GMT | | 8 points |
| chriskotx -- Georgia Tech won a split national championship in 1990 with Colorado. Colorado won the AP title (and thus received the number 1 ranking), but GT only won the UPI/Coaches poll. And yes, surprisingly only one week for Arkansas, in 1965. |

| A a life long Penn State fan, it saddens me that we are tied with Pitt (apt name) for weeks at #1. Surprised wisconsin was only raked 1 week |
 | Kahlvin: | Oct 18th, 2010 at 16:33 GMT | | 3 points |
| Most quizzes accept Texas AM for Texas A&M. Its just easier to type without the ampersand. You might want to accept that. |

| Most surprising omission from these teams = West Virginia |
 | JohnJF: | Oct 18th, 2010 at 17:13 GMT | | 14 points |
| I'm also quite astonished at the lack of Virginia Tech. |

| Florida, most guessed once again! We're on the minds of the collective college football consciousness once again. Too bad about this weekend, though... |

| Good quiz. Thanks for clearing up the G'tech question I was wondering that myself. |

| Kahlvin -- Texas AM comment noted and added. Thanks. |

| Really surprised about Georgia Tech. They had some very, very good teams back in the 1950s. Figured they'd have been up there at least one week back then. |
 | penguinman95: | Oct 18th, 2010 at 20:54 GMT | | 18 points |
| @hollabackitsobi. It's actually because everybody was thinking about Florida State, but they have to type Florida in the process. |

| I thought of Northwestern, but decided nah, couldn't be. |
 | kcostell: | Oct 19th, 2010 at 02:35 GMT | | 6 points |
| Georgia Tech actually spent 13 weeks at #2 over the course of 5 different seasons, and finished two seasons undefeated and ranked #2 in the polls (behind a similarly undefeated Michigan St. team in 1952, and behind a 1(*) loss 1 tie Colorado team in 1990). But they've never been #1. Surprised me. |

| I know football isn't our sport, but it's nice to see UNC on here without Duke. |

| I go to Cornell and even I missed that one. I thought "We haven't been good since before the AP poll was instituted" but apparently not. |
 | Mello: | Oct 20th, 2010 at 02:42 GMT | | 5 points |
| Cornell, but no West Virginia? Also, not sure why Boise State didn't finally get a place on this list after this week... |
 | norwalkiian: | Oct 21st, 2010 at 14:18 GMT | | 4 points |
| West Virginia has been very close a number of times -- most recently in 2007 when they were a victory against a 4-7 Pitt team away from being number 1 -- but have never made it to the top. Boise State was projected to be number 1 in the BCS the weekend before last, but is still number 2 behind Oregon in the AP poll. |

| Accepting UT for Texas? A lot of people in Tennessee might disagree with accepting that one. Just about everyone thinks Southern Cal for USC, plus South Carolina isn't listed anyway, but UT is closer to an even split I would think. |

| I'm amazed Army is #13 on the list when they haven't been a national power since the 1940s. |

| I'm surprised that, at least as of now, only 37.5% got Oregon which is the current AP No. 1. |
 | Tchaikovsky08: | Nov 12th, 2010 at 22:48 GMT | | 13 points |
| @cranson: probably because this quiz was created before Oregon was No. 1 this year |

| West Point accepted for Army? Eh? It's been called Army in collegiate sports for YEARS. Anyway, I completely rejected Northwestern, assuming their ineptness has lasted for the entire history of the school. Oops. |

| If Oregon wins out this season, then they should be ranked #1 for 8 weeks, the sweet spot for this quiz, as it would be pretty high up on the list, yet with minimal effort |

| Please accept USMA, United States Military Academy, and West Point for Army. |

| And btw Pogues, the Superintendent last year changed all the teams' names to West Point, as reflected on most of the uniforms. I don't like it, but luckily the football team has held out on being called Army. |
