| @jvc - You commented on two of the quiz questions, and you need to do some research before chewing somebody's rear end. First, the New Orleans Hornets did retire Pistol Pete's jersey (on October 30, 2002 - the Hornets' first game as a new franchise), even though he never played for that franchise. It was to honor his contributions to the New Orleans Jazz (1974-1979). It was a very nice gesture by the Hornets to honor one of Louisiana's favorite sons (he attended LSU), and a true basketball legend. Second, of course Pippen didn't play on the Heat with MJ. Pat Riley wanted to honor his Airness, so MJ's jersey number was retired by the Heat in 2003. A quote by Pat Riley - "In honor of your greatness and for all you've done for the game of basketball -- and not just the NBA, but for all the fans around the world -- we want to honor you tonight and hang your jersey, No. 23, from the rafters," Riley said at midcourt. "No one will ever wear No. 23 for the Miami Heat. You're the best." jvc - You suck and you failed! Twice! Also, as MSiNX posted, please correct "Jass" to "Jazz". |
