Would have liked it better if the winning episode name was given. Otherwise, it's name great TV dramas. Still enjoyed it.

I agree with @rockgolf. I was hoping that the X Files episode that won was "Jose Chung's From Outer-Space" ... but it is "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose"... still a great episode. This is an awesome quiz, makes me want to re-watch a few series.

Travesty that The Wire never won, not that it's that important or anything.

I liked Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose better, but really those are far and away the top two X-files episodes ever. Little shocked that the pilot for Twin Peaks didn't win an emmy for best writing. It was the only pilot good enough to be a film but not good enough for an emmy.

@s1rweeze that really surprised me as well. That is one of many shows that I need to finish wathing. @betared I rank Bad Blood up there too, it gets me every time. I have always wanted to watch Twin Peaks but never made the time... So much television so little time.

Why are certain years in the 60s and 70s missing?

I checked the Emmy results. In most or all those years, the award went to a non-recurring program - either a mini-series or a movie, like Roots, Holocaust, or "Benjamin Franklin". The likely correct answers would be less than 1%.

I thought Roots won one... I was kinda confused but decided not to read into it all that much.

@rockgolf: I actually tried Roots and Holocaust as guesses. I think those years should have been included.

Not sure if it's only me, but I only got one St. Elsewhere...the 1984 St. Elsewhere didn't populate.
