| @bean, `AKA can you guess the first world nations?': That term does not mean what you think it means, mostly because `third world' is the only `world' that's still referred to, though even that is used inaccurately. The `first world' is the USA and its cold-war allies; the `second world' is the (former) communist bloc; the `third world' is everybody else. In particular, Switzerland, not being allied with the USA, or communist, was technically a third-world country. Although one can argue about exact numbers, this list contains approximately 14 first-world, five second-world and ten third-world countries. |
