	i would make it more clear that you're referring to just the diaeresis over the "a" and not the letter itself (as for example in Swedish or Finnish, where ä is a completely separate letter from "a," in which case its "official name" would just be "ä"). or just accept "a with umlaut" and "a with diaeresis" in addition to the names for the dots themselves.

	"Hacek"/"haček" should alternate for "caron," especially since it's the preferred usage in most linguistics programs. (I dated a Slavic linguistics professor and had to hear farrrr too many dinner discussions of things like this.) Plus, if it's good enough for the OED, it should be good enough for Sporcle. :)

	^ is a carat. Yeah, circumflex is the accent/diacritical mark, but it's the same symbol. And diaeresis definitely needs to be accepted for umlaut - the name depends on the usage.

	I am astonished almost to the point of incredulity to be the first to observe that most of these are not punctuation marks. The others are a selection of accents and other symbols. I was a bit disappointed that "Section" wasn't accepted, thought maybe it had some fancy name, only to find that it should be "Section Sign"!

	Virgule and Reverse solidus? Interesting to see two symmetrical marks having so different names. We just say reverse slash. and one interesting point: in Turkey we use the word "virgül" for comma (,) I guess it's of French origin.

	most of these aren't punctuation marks, maybe you should call the quiz symbols in writing, or something like that. otherwise, good quiz; I didn't know most of these names!

	Great subject area, but the quiz suffers from the plethora of multiple possible names for these things. One would want to force the lesser-known name somehow, but in fairness one can't. "Virgule" is such a great word to ask people to know, but you rightly have to let us say "slash" and move on. I don't get why "accent" works for one, but not the other.

	Couldn't spell ellipsis, but I'm sure I typed circumflex. Ah well, nice quiz. Is there a difference between these () brackets and these {} brackets? I call the first ones brackets so I didn't think to try that for the second ones.

	I tried "section mark" and "guillemot", both didnt take. some interesting reading on the wikipedia guillemets page about the latter. guess adobe/X11 authors are to blame that I learned it wrong :-(
