	i moved to the south, and people would always say "do you want a coke". I always said no because im not the biggest fan of coca cola. it took me about a year to realize that coke is referring to any soft drink. ahh southerners.

	When I lived in Maine (admittedly some time ago), submarine sandwiches were always referred to as "Italians." The first time some schoolmate suggested that could "split an Italian" or "share an Italian," I was quite confused.

	It's "Po Boy" not "poor boy" and it's not entirely accurate. A Po Boy is an entirely different kind of sandwich than a hoagie or sub. Different bread, different ingredients. Kind of like calling a ham sandwich a turkey sandwich.

	@Morbo: Subs, Po'boys, etc. are indeed the same things, and they can all have many different kinds of ingredients and be made using many different kinds of bread. Perhaps you should branch out a little.

	In south Louisiana, we say: eye booger, roly poly, don't really have circles/roundabouts, garage sale, buggy (or basket), po boy (but really, a po boy isn't the same as the other things on the list, which we just call sandwiches), cold drink (for soda), water fountain, crawfish (call them anything else, and you are kicked out of the state), and firefly.

	Guys, ninni21 based the quiz on a published source, so it's rather silly to argue about the content here. (For what it's worth, I agree that "basket" should have been included and that a po' boy is not the same as a sub, but whatever.)

	I studied linguistics so I knew a lot of these from class. For me, central Texas: Sleep, pillbug, (don't have roundabouts and I'm too influenced by years in Europe), garage sale unless it's in a yard, shopping cart/basket, sub, soda/coke interchangeably as a kid (use soda almost always now, but still have a tendency to say things like, "Wanna stop and get a Coke?"), water fountain, crawfish (but my brother used to catch crawdaddies in the creek), lightning bug (though I'd say firefly as a more 'proper' term, I couldn't even come up with it in the quiz!).
