| I'm sorry, what? I have a few comments:
1) You got a few of the classics (Andrews, Peters, LuPone) but where's Carol Channing, Liza Minnelli, Elaine Stritch, Barbra Streisand, Angela Lansbury, Barbara Cooke? I'd even add in Sarah Brightman, Lea Salonga and Kristen Chenowith just to name a few.
2) Tangential to the first, I'll agree on a few of the more "modern" divas on this list (Menzel, Ripley) but to me the definition of a Broadway diva is a woman who is primarily associated with theatre that can sell a show based on her name alone. I'm not quite sure I agree that Karen Olivo, Kerry Butler and Laura Bell Bundy aren't yet to that standard (outside of the fandom).
I mean, you could've put Sarah Jessica Parker, Sara Ramirez etc there and it would have been just as logical.
3) I really needed a source and clues for this. It seems more like your favorite female Broadway actresses than an actual verifiable quiz. And it's pretty hard to just openly guess every female actress without any clues. |
