| Yeah, you're right, those are all alpine regions, corresponding to the Pyrenees, Alps, Dinarides, Tatras, Rhodopes, Carpathians, and Hengduan Mountains, so per your game note I understood them to be outside the scope of this quiz. I probably didn't do you any favors by posting a link to that map. It's a very colorful map to be sure and people love to pour over it searching for something that's been missed. I made the same mistake in my desert country quiz. I originally only included the larger desert climate regions that had mostly well-known names, but because I posted that map people kept finding tiny little specs of red and pink on the map and bringing them to my attention. I felt obliged to add them in, but had a devil of a time finding names for those little deserts. I'm not even convinced some of them had names ;-) Anyway, I hope you stick to your guns since you have a legitimate reason for not including those regions in your quiz. But good luck with that! |
