Isn't Biloxi a Native American name? If it in fact is, Mobile, AL should also be on the list. Mobile is a French corruption of Mauvila, which were the native american peoples surrounding present day Mobile.

youre right about biloxi-its an anglicized version of the french name Bilocci, given to a group of native americans. and at first i had left mobile off, since i didnt want to include cities named after french-named native american tribes. but since they were already given the name Mauvila by the spanish, and mobile was its french corruption, i decided it should be here

@chriskotx-i decided since charlotte was such a widely used name in the english-speaking world, could be argues to have its roots and germann, and was named after British royalty, i decided not to include it

I was surprised that Juneau didn't make the list. But apparently, it's too small.

Bellevue, WA appears as both a regular answer (pop 122,363) and a bonus (pop 50,137). After browsing through Wikipedia I figured out the bonus answer is actually Bellevue, NE.

So, if you are counting native american words that came through french (Biloxi and Mobile) why not Chicago? And probably many others. I don't see the distinction.

@woodhucker-Mobile shouldn't have been up there, I removed it. And Biloxi already wasn't up there

Gotcha. I only mentioned Biloxi because it was discussed in the comments. Thanks for the consistency though. I hope I didn't come across as a whiner. Love your quizzes, keep up the good work!
