Thanks david6k & skuban. After reading your comments, I did get hold of skuban because I wanted to experiment and see if this quiz could be further improved, and we actually tried it out in a separate "dummy" quiz.
What we learned is that we could not make it a minefield for "just" the smaller items, and also that it would be too easy for players to treat the quiz as "how many items can you pick that are larger than another.” A universal score of 24 out of 28 could easily be accomplished, for example, by merely starting with the smallest item, and then picking an item which was obviously about four-stages larger, and doing that all the way through.
But I sincerely thank each of you as I always want to improve quizzes when possible, even mid-stream, and I appreciate the way each of you presented the ideas in a speculative or positive way, rather than as "finding fault". Thanks! |
