needapausebutton : Jun 17th, 2012 at 04:58 GMT 1 point @Wshntnls: Thanks for the suggestion -- Currently only 8.6% are getting all of them, 28.6% are getting 13-14, and 14.3% getting 11-12. So I'll continue to monitor it, but I think that more decoys aren't needed at this point, don't you agree? (Since the game is not playing as "too easy" adding more decoys doesn't seem to serve any purpose).
Wshntnls : Jun 17th, 2012 at 16:40 GMT 1 point My experience of the game -- and I'll acknowledge that it's just mine -- was that it was instantaneously discernible which 2 teams we were talking about which meant I had 12 players/managers without having to think and could eliminate 8 guys who either never played for either team (one-team 400-game winners) or are from the wrong era (banned and appearing in South Carolina sandlots). Maybe it's having more decoyish decoys rather than more. Oh, and now I see that you gave the teams in the preamble, meaning less thought was involved. Ok, I've crossed into curmudgeon territory, but I think this has great potential to be a good brain-racker.
needapausebutton : Jun 17th, 2012 at 20:51 GMT 1 point @Wshntnls: The dilemma of a game-maker is often how to construct a game to appeal to both experts and the casual fan (which was my goal). I know you fit into the first category, and in that regard, I understand your points completely, and I agree with your assessment regarding the game's potential. Do you have any specific suggestions for decoys which would maintain the appeal of the game to both casual players and experts?
