I'm Norwegian, so here, let me educate you: Norway has two official languages, Bokmål and Nynorsk. They are never referred to as "Bokmål Norwegian" or "Nynorsk Norwegian", and referring to both languages as "Norwegian" is commonplace. You'll never hear anyone specify whether they speak Bokmål or Nynorsk (both are mutually intelligible), and abroad, they'll say "I speak Norwegian". They are however, not the same language, and in a quiz like this, they should be treated as such.
If this was my quiz, I'd have this as the answer for Norway (copy and paste):
Bokmål, Nynorsk/bokmål/bokmal/nynorsk/norwegian.
PS: For the curious ones, the Å in Bokmål is pronounced like the O in the British pronunciation of 'Lord'. |
