Anastasia wasn't a Disney movie. Besides that, good quiz.

there is one error, Lady in the Tramp is actually in New England, United states. This is proven by several clues, the type of trains in the trainyard, the archiecture, and the fact the seaquel shows a fourth of July picnic, and many others

Fixed. Blame me for assuming a Scottish terrier named Jock (always assumed it was "Jacques") meant it was in the UK.

I think you should accept Hawaii as the location for Lilo & Stitch. Other than that, I'd say it's a good quiz.

This was a really fun quiz. I got most of them. I even guessed The Little Mermaid because I know that's where Hans Christian Andersen is from, but how do you know the answer for Sleeping Beauty? I haven't seen it in awhile, so I was just wondering what clue in the movie gave let's you know where it takes place. Thanks!

An explanation of some of the more questionable locations. SPOILERS-----. The Little Mermaid is a Danish fairy tale, and the statue is there too, but I will accept Norway as well (the waters may belong to Norway). Sleeping Beauty I used to think was Romanian, but I read somewhere that they modeled the castle after a Belgian castle, and the wildlife of the area fits much better. Hawaii isn't quite valid because we are specifically asking for the country, not the region within the country.

So this is possibly a really stupid question (especially since I watched the movie two days ago), but how do you know where Cinderella took place? Sorry if it's really obvious and I've just never noticed...

The most famous version of the Cinderella fairy tale derives from French author Charles Perrault's "Cendrillon ou la petite pantoufle de verre". As well, the dress, architecture, and mannerisms lead me to believe that it takes place in France.

Hm, interesting about Sleeping Beauty, thanks! Sleeping Beauty's castle in Disney Land was actually based on Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the movie. I just figured I would mention it because it is a really beautiful place to visit! :-)

You should accept France for Sleeping Beauty. The movie was based on Perrault's "La Belle au bois dormant". The characters from the movie are also always in the France pavilion in Epcot.

How can The Little Mermaid take place in Denmark? What about Les Poissons? *Shrug* Maybe that's just the chef. Really liked the quiz.

While I immediately put Denmark for the little mermaid, because of the statue, I don't think the movie takes place there. Mostly because of all of the palm trees, and Sebastian's accent. Not to mention the Lagoon. heres a picture of the town http://images.mylot.com/userImages/images/postphotos/2377754.jpg

Just a few hours ago my mom asked where Sleeping Beauty takes place. Now I can tell her :). I got all the other locations, mostly because of the conversation my mom and I had that I just mentioned.

krs1291: in Epcot, Cinderella is in France. that and they do speak some French in the movie. i liked the quiz. i was all like wtf when Sleeping Beauty was Belgium. thought it was like either UK or France. and i shouldve seen New Groove in Peru. i knew it was in one of those countries.

Cinderella does not mention any geography in Walt Disney's production of it, beside the "In a far away land". So a name like Jacques may be a hint, or it may just be a romanticised name for a mouse.

I always though l&tt was in the uk, tlm was in France or Jamaica, and sb was in Russia (wasn't it based off a Russian play?) I don't really think about the location of the princess movies except Aladdin, Mulan, and Snow White (she has German wooden shoes).

I agree with most of the comments here about Sleeping Beauty. I don't see any real evidence that supports this answer. It could have just as easily taken place in Germany (where they got the name Briar Rose) or Italy (the Italian version of the original story uses Aurora), England (where the dress and overall design was inspired from) or France (the most popular source of the fairy tale). There was also a King Stefan of Serbia from the 13th century, who bares a certain resemblance to the sleeping beauty's father, but that could just be coincidence.
