| I live in america (currently only 3rd year), for future reference on this - I've lived in Hong Kong/Australia, and learned English for the majority of my life.
English is ENGLISH. It's one of the most misused words, almost as misused as "its, their, etc" in my opinion. If you live in the US, its American English, but people are lazy.
On the other hand, if you've been taught aluminum for most of your life, I doubt you could change. It's human nature, and you just can't.
Still IUPAC accepts both, and since this is a chemistry/science quiz, not LANGUAGE, it shouldn't matter, and it's up to the creator to decide what they want to follow, what they want to change, if they have time to change the quiz, etc. |
