| Good idea for a quiz. I was going to make one like it, but you beat me to it. I have some quibbles, though. You're missing 6 players: Kaiser Wilhelm (47y, 212d), Grover Hartley (46y, 90d), Bobo Newsom (46y, 37d), Kid Gleason (45y, 306d), Carlton Fisk (45y, 178d), and Red Faber (45y, 14d). All of these players were older on the day of the final game of their careers than one or more of the players you've listed (the youngest of whom is Perry, at 45y, 6d). It should be Johnny Evers, not Jonny, and Jamie Moyer, not Jaime. Jimmy Austin was 49 on the day of the final game of his career, not 46. Finally, according to Baseball Reference, Minoso was 54 on the day of the final game of his career, not 57, but you may know more about the validity of his birth certificate than I do. |
